Tech Sales Job Market Report · Edition 1
Tech sales jobs this week: Oct 1, 2026
95 new US sales roles went up this week across 32 companies.
What the boards show
We track 141 company job boards directly — each company's own Greenhouse, Ashby or Lever page, not an aggregator. Right now 1,111 US sales roles are open on them. 95 were posted in the last seven days, and 57% of everything open was posted more than 45 days ago.
Account executive roles are the largest slice of what's new, at 56%. After that: customer success and account management 26%, solutions and sales engineering 9% and entry-level SDR/BDR 7%. One company skews that: Toast posted 30 of the 95 new roles, mostly account executive roles. Across the other 31 companies, account executive roles are 40% and entry-level SDR/BDR 9%. Companies are adding people who close and keep revenue faster than people who build pipeline.
“Enterprise” appears in 18 of the 95 new titles and “strategic” in 14, against “SMB” in 10.
The most new sales postings came from Toast (30), Braze (12) and Stripe (6).
If you're applying, work the fresh listings first. A role posted this week hasn't had time to bury you under hundreds of applicants; one that's been up for two months has.

How this is counted
141 company job boards, read directly from each company's applicant tracking system. A role counts as new if the company first published it in the seven days before September 30, 2026. US and US-remote roles only; sales titles only; people-manager roles excluded. The set skews toward venture-backed B2B software, so read this as a view of that market — not of sales hiring everywhere. Full methodology · Download this edition's data
